NGUYEN SIEU PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS HONOURED TO ATTEND THE OPENING CEREMONY AT THE VIETNAM BUDDHIST ACADEMY

On September 20, a delegation of 33 students from Nguyen Sieu Primary School, led by Dr. Nguyen Vinh Hanh, Chairman of the School Council, together with teachers from the School, had the honour of attending the Opening Ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year and the Graduation Ceremony for the 9th cohort of Master’s and Bachelor’s students in Buddhist Studies at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hanoi, at the invitation of the Academy.

In the solemn and respectful atmosphere of the ceremony, our students took part in the ceremonial formation, carrying out flag-waving duties and being present at a significant educational and cultural event.

For the students selected to participate, this was not only a great honour but also a valuable opportunity to experience an academic, cultural, and ceremonial environment beyond the school campus. Through this experience, they had the opportunity to further develop their confidence, discipline, sense of responsibility, and understanding of traditional cultural values.

As part of the Opening Ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Quyết, PhD, Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Central Committee for Buddhist Education, and Rector of the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hanoi, presented the Phật Quang Book Collection to Nguyen Sieu Primary School.

The Phat Quang Book Collection is an initiative launched by Most Venerable Thích Thanh Quyết with the aim of promoting a culture of reading, enriching knowledge, and nurturing compassion among teachers and students.

This meaningful gift will contribute to enriching the School’s reading spaces and learning resources, giving students more opportunities to explore culture, ethics, ways of life, and universal human values.

The invitation for students of Nguyen Sieu Primary School to attend such a formal and meaningful event at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy, together with the School’s receipt of this valuable gift of knowledge, marks a memorable moment in the School’s ongoing efforts to broaden educational and experiential opportunities for its students.
