NGUYEN SIEU PRIMARY SCHOOL RECEIVES POSITIVE RECOGNITION FROM THE INTER-AGENCY INSPECTION TEAM FOR ITS SCHOOL MEAL PROGRAM

News Tuesday, 29/09/2026

On the morning of September 29, 2026, Nguyen Sieu Primary School welcomed an inter-agency inspection team from the Yen Hoa Ward People’s Committee to review the organization of the school meal program for the 2026–2027 academic year. The inspection focused on the management and implementation of the meal program; relevant records and documentation; food origins and traceability; the updating and retrieval of information on the HanoiCheck system; food preparation procedures; food safety checks and sample retention; and overall conditions for ensuring food hygiene and safety.

In line with the school’s plan, preparations were carried out in a coordinated manner, with clear responsibilities assigned to each department, covering management records, suppliers, food documentation, HanoiCheck data, health and safety procedures, food sample retention, facilities, and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas. Throughout the process, the school emphasized that documentation and actual practices must remain consistent and easily traceable. The in-house kitchen, together with the receiving, preliminary preparation, cooking, portioning, sample-retention, and dining areas, is required to operate in accordance with established procedures and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Following the on-site inspection, the inspection team noted that the boarding meal kitchen at Nguyen Sieu Primary School was well organized and arranged in compliance with food hygiene and safety requirements. The kitchen follows a one-way food preparation process, helping to minimize the risk of cross-contamination between different stages. Food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and stored in accordance with regulations, while the food storage area is kept orderly and equipped with ventilation fans to support proper food preservation.

One of the areas receiving positive recognition was the school’s control of food origin and quality. All food used in the kitchen has clear and traceable origins, and delivery and receiving procedures are carried out fully. The school also strictly maintains the three-step food inspection process and food sample retention procedures. Food invoices are issued on a daily basis, making it easier to verify, cross-check, and trace information when necessary.

The school’s documentation system was another notable strength recognized by the inspection team. Records related to the boarding meal program were complete, systematically organized, and easy to review and cross-check. As part of its preparation plan, the school established separate documentation groups covering management and organization, suppliers and supporting documents, HanoiCheck records, kitchen operations, and health and food sample retention. Particular attention was also given to verifying the validity of documents, signatures, dates, and the consistency between written records and actual practices.

Notably, the school’s use of technology in managing and tracing food origins continued to demonstrate a proactive approach. The inspection team noted that Nguyen Sieu Primary School updates information on food origins on the HanoiCheck system fully and in a timely manner, with key information on the system consistent with actual records and supporting documents. Menus and food origin information are also made publicly available, ensuring that relevant data can be easily accessed and traced when required. Menu planning on HanoiCheck has consistently achieved ratings of “Good” or “Exceeding Expectations” in both quality and quantity.

This was also an area that the school had prepared carefully for prior to the inspection. Preparations included reviewing system access accounts, supplier lists, products, orders, delivery and receiving records, traceability data, menus, and other information updated on the platform. The school also ensured that the necessary equipment, internet connection, and recent data were readily available to support the inspection team’s on-site review.

Following the inspection, the team gave positive feedback on several aspects of Nguyen Sieu Primary School’s boarding meal program. Documentation was complete and systematically organized; the kitchen was operated in compliance with food hygiene and safety requirements; food preparation procedures, the three-step food inspection process, and food sample retention were implemented rigorously; and food origin information was fully updated on HanoiCheck, allowing for convenient verification and traceability.

The positive findings from the inspection reflect the proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility demonstrated by the school leadership, teachers, and staff in providing safe and well-organized meals for students. From planning and task allocation to documentation control, food sourcing, and day-to-day kitchen operations, each stage is implemented according to clear and specific requirements.
