MAKE THE MUSIC BAND – CLASS ROUND FOR 1CS

As part of Global Perspectives, the Music Band project gives Year 1CS pupils the opportunity to develop teamwork skills through musical creativity. Working together, the children share ideas, choose their instruments, assign roles and collaborate to create performances that reflect their own unique style.
Through this activity, pupils have the opportunity to:
• Develop their listening skills, share ideas and work collaboratively with their group members.
• Explore their creativity, take initiative in choosing how to express themselves and take on roles that suit their strengths.
• Build confidence in performing in front of others, while learning to respect and support one another in achieving a shared goal.
The class round has now concluded, with the most outstanding groups earning their places in the Final Round. The Make the Music Band journey will continue with new challenges, giving the children further opportunities to demonstrate their teamwork, creativity and love of music.
