GRADE 1 STUDENTS GAIN HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN CAR EMERGENCY ESCAPE SKILLS

On the morning of August 10, Grade 1 students at Nguyen Sieu Primary School participated in an experiential activity to learn and practice emergency escape skills on a car. The activity helped students familiarize themselves with potential scenarios while traveling, while building essential skills to handle emergencies and protect themselves.

During the session, students were guided to identify the interior space and key escape support points on the vehicle. Through simulated situations, they practiced finding exit routes, carrying out necessary actions, and evacuating the vehicle under guidance.

Rather than simply memorizing knowledge through lectures, students directly observed and practiced the skills. Instructors guided them to remain calm, listen, observe, and proactively take action when facing unexpected situations. For first graders, acquiring safety skills at an early age carries practical significance—especially as they begin participating in more off-campus travel, play, and experiential activities.

This activity is part of the Grade 1 Experiential Activities curriculum, helping students apply practical knowledge to real-life situations. Through direct hands-on practice, students step-by-step build self-protection awareness and become more proactive on every journey. At Nguyen Sieu Primary School, life skills education is delivered through age-appropriate, real-world situations, ensuring students not only know the skills but can also apply what they have learned to daily life.
